There has been some confusion about websites and accounts. The American Branch website (this website) is not linked to the Honbu website in any manner.
You are able to get an account by using your NBTHK (Japan) number and having a password. There have been a number of improvements to make this easier for English users, so please give this a try.

Remember these are two different access identifications.
At the NBTHK – Japan site you can do a number of things related to your Japan account and identification.
- Change your mailing address, email or other account information
- Shinsa dates and registration for online shinsa
